What happens to sinners after death?
Although Christianity distinguishes a "punishing God", this aspect of God actually oversees and drives the law of karma. God does not directly punish, but self-punishment occurs. When the deceased, freed from his/her physical body, looks at his/her life from a causal awareness, he/she finds where he/she has transgressed this law of Oneness. Then he/she can immediately experience the pain he/she has caused the other. If this proves sufficient, a realization follows, so that this act no longer needs to be dealt with in the next incarnation.
